A onderful place. Always worth reserving any day of the week. We went recently on a weekday at 6pm as it opened and they were reserved till 9.30pm. Great food from a very extensive menu. All starters, ribs etc are great. The Crispy duck is also very good quality. Laksa is authentic. With more daring friends we have tried most things from the various ethnic menus. Some exotic stuff here! Ask for spicing to be adjusted if this is an issue. Excelent professional service. I can say that prices have been kept down but quality maintained. This keeps the buzz and athmposphere going.

Found the food below average for the price and the staff were not friendly at all.

We shared 6 dishes between five people from the the Chinese menu, not the Malaysian. All enjoyed the food - and some dishes were excellent.
The service on this occasion was not so good. It was a saturday night so it was busy and rushed. To start the waitress got the drinks order wrong. The prawn crackers we ordered as a quick starter arrived 3 minutes before the main dishes.
Deserts turned out to be expensive - my exotic fruit salad and ice cream cost £13 because the waitress said I had to buy the ice cream separately as an extra dish! (I thought this strange as most restaurants would ask if you wanted cream or ice cream on fruit salad).
Overall it is a bit more expensive than the average Chinese restaurant but better quality cooking.

foods ok,service indifferent just like many oriental restaurants, nothing to shout about just another average restaurant serving average s'pore & m'sian fares, only the non orientals go gaga about the foods,....on a final note...do treat all your customers the same level of service as you normally dish out to the non orientals

I used to be a regular at this restaurant for take aways as food overall was quite good (though EXPENSIVE)... Until they started to overcharge me for everything. Apparently, for everything that is not on the menu (including sauce!) you have to pay extra. Forget that the cost of aubergines with black bean sauce (on the menu) is the same as aubergines with oyster sauce (not on the menu), you got to pay an extra £1 for the sauce and if you plan to add/exchange anything else, good luck! I have explained that majority of other restaurants would not charge you even for changing beef for chicken (forget about changing sauces). After a few disappointments, i asked to talk to manager (who happened to be also an owner). She had rudely told me that they charge extra for everything that is not on the menu (even if it does not cost them extra) and that i should feel free and post my review on this website (glad I have her support for this!) and apparently, I am the first person to complain about this - go figure! I wonder if I am really? You would expect for a restaurant with an £18/per person take away bill just for rice, chicken and veggies to have a slightly better level of service, would not you? I feel that people in London gave up complaining about poor service.

This is a very nice neighbourhood restaurant. The service is friendly and efficient. Following a refurbishment earlier this year, the place looks much more contemporary. The various crab dishes are excellent! Walking distance from Swiss Cottage Tube and Cinema, so good for a date!
