La Bodega Negra features in these AIL lists...

The best Mexican food in the capital
Every new food fad has its outstanding new venue and La Bodega Negra is the one that sticks out in the Mexican scene. Joining the current craze for setting up in sleazy Soho locations, its cafť is located behind the door of a sex shop. It may sound pretentious but so what, itís great, in fact, if only more restaurants would set up in sex shops. The drinks are delicately prepared and the interior is as stylish as youíll find but you still come away thinking about the food.

London's best-stocked bars!
Itís not been easy for tequila to shake off its image as a student/stag do favourite, however Mexican restaurants like La Bodega Negra are proving there is more to it than being an aid for drunken pranks. Here there are around 35 varieties of tequila which you can purchase as a shot, carafe or bottle. Thereís plenty on the cocktail list too: try the Afilador, with tequila, absinthe, lilletblanc, orange liqueur and maraschino.

Been here loads of times with my friends and we always had a great night out. Downstairs, the restaurant is one of the most interesting places I've been in lately.
Really attentive staff but not too pushy even though you're allowed to stay at the table for only 2h they don't hurry you in any way.
The food is delicious, the cocktails too and the music is so good that it's hard to just sit at a table and not dance.
I love the mysterious feeling that this place has.
Totally recommend! And we'll be back soon, as always!
