This no frills establishment on busy Goodge Street attracts a mostly Japanese clientele. Specialties are the yakitori and the kimchi on rice, not forgetting a variety of sakes – some are sold in 1.8 litre bottles which they’ll keep for you every time you visit.

This place is wonderful it was just like being back in Japan! The food is excellent as is the service. If you're looking for an authentic Japanese experience or just a fun night i can't recommend this place enough! 10/10

not the nicest interior, but gorgeous food and nice service. really fresh, good sushi and tender meat. avoid the marinated 'pork' dish, as although it is yummy, its just three pieces for bacon - not worth the money. i would highly recommend the rest of the food we tasted there. is it expensive - two of us, one bottle of beer one coke plus a hearty-sized meal (no dessert) came to over £60. but i would still go back.

I went to this restaurant with a Japanese friend. The place was full, but I was the only westerner - a good sign. The exterior is a little daunting, with its slatted windows, but this is part of the authentic presentation also reflected in the menu, which is quite extensive, and has several dishes I haven't seen at other Japanese restaurants in the UK. We ordered edamame, sashimi, deep-fried tofu, miso soup, and vegetable tempura, and we thought that the food was very fresh, tasty, authentic and well-presented. The sashimi in particular was some of the freshest I have tasted in London. Service was prompt and polite. The atmosphere is just like a traditional izakaya in Japan, with old enka ballads as musical background. Highly recommended!
