Bangkok was the first Thai restaurant to open in London in 1967 and the interior hasn't changed much since then. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the food is well prepared. It has an outside seating area and also does takeaway. Catering for private parties of up to 20 guests is available upon request.

I have been going to this restaurant for over thirty years. It is the best Thai Restaurant in London without question.

I've been going to this restraunt for 15 odd years, it was my first thai restraunt and is still my favourite. Over the years I must have been there at least 200 times and only once have I had a bad meal. One thing I would say is the food can be a tad spicy!. Perhaps why I like it so much and the portions can be a tiny bit light. When my wife and I go , we tend to order 3 mains.
Favourites:
Thai Green Beef Curry - Awesome best I've ever had
Pork Penang - Again absolutely lovely
Chicken Thai Basil & Chili - Again lovely.

I read reviews on this site so thought it would be a decent place. The outside is an unexciting but was more intrigued when i sat down to look at the menu. It had a limited range so I started thinking this was going to be a clever restaurant with a small selection of knock-out food that it knows how to cook really well. How wrong I was - the worst Thai food I have had. There was nothing to redeem it, even the green beef curry had an alarming colour to it. All the food was very poor quality and very bland. I rarely get out for meals, what a wasted opportunity, when I am sure there are many great Thai restuarants around. I felt genuinely ####ed off leaving my £45 on the table.

... not a comprehensive menu but everything you may want from Thai food. favourite starters: veg and egg soup, beef satay, favourity mains: beef with chilli, chicken and garlic, vegetable curry, panang veg, egg noodles. service is good but not super fast.
Have your say
