Excellent. I'm vegetarian and though I do pretty much have the same thing every time (the sag panir), they do it very well! The staff are also friendly.

Found Khans a couple of months ago. It's a bit of a walk from where I live but well worth it. Great tasting food, really helpful service. I've become a complete convert and regular. Highly recommend.

I have to agree with the last review. On the surface this looks a bog standard local Indian. The decor is rough, the prices are low and the menu is as most others. I was surprised by the longish wait as the night I went was fairly quiet. When the food came...all became clear!
Everything was freshly cooked with fresh ingredients. The lamb was delicious and tender, the herbs and spices were fresh, no bright yellow/orange powdery concoctions here. Nor was it swimming in ghee. If you like pumpkin, as I do, you will worship their pumpkin curry. Very modern, clean Indian cuisine. Also, its BYO so fantastic for a cheapskate with high standards, like me. I will return often.

It's hard to describe just how good Khan's is. While there are a number of what I would call "posh" Indian restaurants (e.g. 3 Monkeys) in the area, Khan's has continued to produce, for me, over 4 years of consistently fabulous traditional Indian cuisine. I would recommend their Lamb Madras, King Prawn Balti and Chana Masala in particular. Also their Vegetable Jalfrezi will blow your socks off.

Ignore the bad review - I promise its an absolute gem.

The above poster seems to have missed the point of Khans - it's our local curry house and as such has a loyal customer base in the area - and the 'noise' is actually good atmosphere - or is that now outlawed as well?

The food is great - sorry if you are a veggie or vegan this isn't their strong point - but what they do serve is decent, authentic Southern Idian cuisine that is well presented, priced and tastes excellent. The bring your own booze policy works well and if you want an informal. fun place to eat out with a few friends or just your partner I recommend you give them a try.

I visited Khan's on Tuesday 28-March-2006. The tables are very close together. It was like I was sitting at the same long table as my neighbors. The place is huge and very noisy. There is no carpet. The place has a high ceiling. And there was a party in the back that was cheering and clapping. With such an unpleasant ambience I fail to see why this place is popular.

I tell the fellow I'm wheat and dairy free. He said that the only dish that didn't have dairy was the chick peas. Not very vegan friendly! I left. I ended up at the nearby The Standard Indian Restaurant and had a pleasant meal.
