Zuma is the Japanese-inspired restaurant managed by the same people as Roka and La Petite Maison. It’s all about glitz and big spending at this Knightsbridge eatery; celebrities like the Beckhams and Beyonce and Jay Z are often seen snapped on their way out.
There are several other branches around the world, in Miami, Hong Kong, Dubai and Bangkok among others. The London outpost may be loosely modelled on an informal izakaya, but diners are well-heeled, with many eating here for a certain status to rub off on them.
There is a robata grill, a very good selection of sushi and sashimi, and signature dishes that include miso marinated foie gras and wagyu beef with cress aioli.

My family and I are big fans of Zuma. We’ve been there hundreds of times. It’s great for me because it’s a complete change from French food. There’s a nice selection of sushi and modern Japanese dishes. There’s a great atmosphere and buzz.

Restaurants where you're likely to spot celebrities
This Japanese eatery is popular with the Beckhams, Beyonce and Jay Z, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Jordan, Kate Hudson and Nancy Dell’Olio. Gwen Stefani even went as far as naming her second child after the restaurant.
The best chef's tables in London
Zuma’s contemporary Japanese cuisine is popular among London’s flashy young diners. Unlike many other chef’s tables there is no extra cost to sit here and you can even order from the normal menu.
At this restaurant both style and substance prevail, as quality food is prepared on the robata grill by skilled chefs, and the likes of Beyonce and Jay Z, Ellie Goulding and Kim Kardashian turn up for dinner alongside Knightsbridge regulars.
Try a Sake...
High end, celebrity favourite Zuma has its own sake bar, with more than 40 varieties of the rice juice available. Grab at seat at the glamorous granite bar and eavesdrop on Kim K and Kanye discussing their latest Twitter strategy.
