Riccardo's is a friendly restaurant which offers a pasta-based menu in starter sized portions, which makes for a varied and very reasonably priced meal. They have a conservatory and a terraced seating area, can accommodate private parties of up to 25 people and offer a take away service.

Terrible attitude. The staff lost my partner's scarf when they took away our coats for so-called safe-keeping. The owner could not have cared less. He just ignored our concerns. Useless. We will not go back.

I have just had a very pleasant meal at Riccardo's with my wife. We've been out of London for quite a while and since back last week we have eaten there 3 times. Twice at dinner and once at lunch (today) the food is as good as ever and the staff still very friendly. Good to see a few familiar faces. I had seabass for lunch today and that was very good and the lamb last time was delicious. The bill for lunch came in at about £21 each and dinner was about £32 each with a decent bottle of red wine. It's really good to be back in London.

Arrived with great expectations - this reataurant had come highly recommended. Then:

1. service was poor - uninspiring answers given to a number of questions about the menu - always had that feeling of being rushed - shown to the worst table in the restaurant despite it being quiet (in hindsight, should have left then).
2. quality of the food was a big surprise - maybe this is the standard these days with rising overheads and shrinking disposable income. That said, presentation was also poor.
3. value for money - none!

An awful experience..

Delicious food and good value (especially for Chelsea!). Service occasionally hopeless and menu rather extensive, but after several visits I, and my friends have always enjoyed our food. House wines acceptable, atmosphere bustling and usually very busy, which says something about the quality of the food.

very good food, service is very slow, no request for feed-ack. Staff seems to prefer people belonging to the "in-crowd".

Riccardo's is a staple restaurant for a wide range of Italian dishes, despite this, I always opt for the mushroom risotto which is delicious.

Non-prententious, good service and value with a layed back and warm atmposphere. Not exceptional, but very pleasing.
