Noor Jahan concentrate on a traditional style of North Indian food using only fresh ingredients and ground spices and specialise in a wide variety of tandoori, seafood and vegetarian dishes. The restaurant is a combination of cool blues and calming tones, over three floors. Staff are attentive without being intrusive. The Head Chef Santosh Kumer-Pal is a celebrity in his own right with many years of experience in his craft while being Head Chef with the Taj group of hotels in India.

After making a call to Noorjahan1 we found out, it’s not part of them and it’s not Noorjahan Restaurant. No wonder the food and service are so bad.

Noorjahan 2, I love this place and I have had the pleasure of eating in this place for the last 4,5 years. The service is good the food is always great with the highest quality of Indian food in town. Now I know why some critics say this place is serving the best authentic robust Indian flavours. Bit on the expensive side but worth every penny. Keep up the good work boys.

My wife and I visited this restaurant in January 2010 having found it on this web page. The visit was first class from start to finish. The food and the service were excellent as was the freindliness of the staff. We live in South Wales and visit London once a year for a few days sightseeing. We will definately be using the Noor Jahal on our next visit.

Noorjahan 2 is unquestionably the Best. I am truly impressed with their food and service without doubt it is simply the BEST Indian Restaurant in London. We have been going to this place for the past 6 years and NEVER been disappointed, Mr Harun runs Noorjahan 2 with very trustworthy and professional Crew. We recommend this restaurant to all.

Very good food and have been here many times when visiting London on Business. Was however recently disappointed when after having ordered a set menu for 5 people the waiter offered to do a "selection of dishes", forgetting to tell us that the bill was going to end up twice as expensive....

Coming from an Indian background and a few of my family members are involve in spice and catering services in India.
I know what I am expecting when I am in Indian restaurants the balance of spice should be spot on for your taste buds.
I moved to Lancaster gate a few weeks ago and tried most of the surrounding Indian restaurants,
I regret to say none of the restaurants met my taste buds criteria until I visited Noorjahan 2 last night.
The food was mouth watering and my taste buds were in ecstasy, and the service was swift, prompt and excellent.
We met the person responsible for making our taste buds jump around he is called Harun, a very nice gentle man.
Harun thank you for a wonderful evening and we will see you soon.
Anyone who is reading this review are dared to try and send their taste buds to HEAVEN

£65 never tasted so good. I sat down. The help was prompt, the environment was not overly crowded.

I ordered, all at once: 6 beers (Cobra), Papadum, Paapdi Chaat, Panni poori, Onion Bhajhi, Chicken Tikka Masala (Hot & Spicy), Chicken Vindaloo (Hot as hell), Garlic Naan, Kulfi, Masala chai.

I watched as others in the restaurant were licking napkins as if the food was too hot. But to me this stuff 'burned smoothly.' The stuff is really really terrific. But if you order the dishes on the spicy side, they come that way.

I saw a few folks ordering wine, I was amazed, the flavors here utterly destroy wine, grab a Cobra, because you'll need a lot of washing down fluid.

First visit to this restaurant at 2300 hours. Staff still accommodating and professional. Food was great Jalfrezi and Chicken goa request to serve spicy was dealt with no problems. Certainly would revisit. Also nice location tucked away in Sussex Place.
