These children-friendly restaurants are part of a small London chain, offering reasonably priced, quick food for those wanting to grab a bite in between shopping. There is a separate menu for kids and the food is fairly simple and you won't have to hang around to get it. They don't take bookings.

All I can say on this place is, the standards have dropped over a steady period of time. A high turnover in staff says it all.

I got kind of annoyed when I was asked to use my knife and folk that I ate my starter with, for my main course. Its poor customer service not to give fresh cutlery. Its not the cheap canteen kitchen, its a restaurant that should be run to a higher standard.

Although I have noticed the service and the quality of food has been going downhill for a while, especially at busy meal times in the day where you will often find yourself waiting 20 mins for your drink to arrive, I still used to frequent this place as I was familiar with it having eaten there in school days and even with the increasingly poor service and food, I put up with it as it was a cheap eat.

However, I recently went to Stockpot to get a takeaway. This was around 8pm and the restaurant wasn't full yet, so not quite in full swing. As I began to order, the Manager begins to scream at our waitress and proceed with the insults 'why are you taking thier takeaway order? these takeway order people will take half an hour to make thier choice, get back to work!'. He pretty much stood there and shouted at our serving waitress for the full few minutes we were taking to place our order. Our waitress apologised and told us to 'please ignore him' and finished taking our order.

I then waited for about 15 mins, before asking our waitress whether she would like me to come back as I feared I was taking up valuable space in their gangway and doorway. I was told that it would be helpful for them to have the space and if I didn't mind, could I return in 15 mins to pick up my order? I did as requested and popped out of the restaurant.

On my return, I waited a further 10 minnutes before enquiring whether my order was ready. I was told that the Manager had stopped my order from being cooked for no reason. By this time, it was 9pm and I was tired of the facade.

I asked to speak to the manager & could hear him screaming at his staff that 'I no need to speak to her'.

I have never experienced such poor service & I don't believe that a cheap eat diner can be allowed to treat customers like this just because they attract a throng of customers on thier pricing.

I shall never step foot in that place again, the rudeness level is unacceptable for a c
