I went with 5 friends feeling pretty optimistic about this restaurant, prices looked good and some of the food sounded different / exciting.

We ordered a fairly large variety, whole duck, sweet and sour pork, cuttlefish, ducks tongues & pigs trotters, brisket curry, fried beef dumplings and some rice / noodle dishes. About a 1/3 of what we ordered was unavailable but we managed to replace them with other items.

The food came within five minutes and was largely disappointing. We had to send back 5 of our dishes because they were only warm at best. Even after we had sent back 3 or 4 dishes the waitress continued to bring us out more ambient dishes. The dishes then came back again so quickly that they had clearly been microwaved.
The duck was thoroughly flavourless, the curry sauces were greasy and tasted like they were out of a jar. The best dishes were the noodles and special fried rice which were buffet standard. We failed to finish most of them.

When we complained at the end the old chap who manages the place said that many of the dishes were meant to be cold (I found this unlikely as they weren't cold but a bacteria loving body temperature), and that since we weren't happy we didn't have to pay the tip. We explained that we weren't paying the tip anyway and in the end left paying £70 for the six of us.

We all left feeling a little queasy and still hungry. I've never before been inspired to write a review but felt compelled for this place

I went with my family as we was in a hurry to get the train back home from victoria, the staff wasnt friendly. I went on 08.04.10 and to be honest it was ridiculous! I order sei bo fan the kind with the chicken wing, octopus, spare rib and char siu, the lady said they didnt have chicken wing, would we want chicken, came back and no chicken at all, and then said sorry do we want duck. Then came back an said they didnt have duck, it made us feel like it was out fault, but really maybe they should know what they have. We wasnt offered any drinks, and one of the dishes was especially later for my little cousin, lucky we gave him something cos by the time we finished he food came! During then a man and woman with glasses kept staring at us during our dinner which made us uncomfortable cos we sat on the big table upstairs. A older man started handing out lollipops, when we thanked him he started to hardsell the desserts and gave us our bill!!! we hadnt even finished and my cousin didnt get his food at that point!

Anyways just to top it off, the most amusing thing was the menu prints, 'recommended 10% gratutity is NOT added to your bill, NOT included'. We left giving a SMALL TIP not the whole 6 pound tip. But the old man stopped us till we paid every penny, my family felt so bad we just rinsed our change to him, totalled more. I even said to him, its misleading to put we dont need to tip and then start requesting it. I still got the receipt and it says a reccomended gratuity is added. they should just put it compulsory service charge.

Overall, staff was poor, food wasnt actually that great, and I wont be going again. Honestly.

Everytime I go Chinatown at the end of the day I always go to this restaurant for their delicious Bubble Tea! I think their bubble tea is really good and there are lots of different flavours, the workers were really friendly and funny. I did not have to wait long and they give you a free lollipop. Once i went there and there was this man who was about the age of 30-40 and was giving out lollipops because he said it was his birthday hahaha, which wasnt true but it made us all laugh :D you must try their bubble tea!! its probably the best ones i've ever tasted in any other shop!!!

Been to it recently and the waiting staffs are not very friendly and I could say the service was horribile. They dont speak proper English nor even Chinese, the way they star at you makes you feel bad and you need to pay 10% for this terribile service, how ridicuously it is! The food was OK but that's due to the seasoning sachet not the cook, the meat was not fresh enough and I guess it had been frozen for ages.

I've been to this cafe for a light dinner. I think it's a bit pricey and the waiting staffs were not very friendly. I've ordered 'che zai min' - not worth the money, some fried wonton - not worth the money also. But I like the Milk Tea, taste good and big portion.

I am not going to rant, but I'll try to be honest. First, the food. This place is supposedly a cafe so its menu cannot be extensive, although what it does offer is reasonably tasty. However, it suffers from the "too much salt, too much grease" problem typical of many Chinese eateries. The service is quite poor and I cite this example: I went in with my girlfriend, but she wasn't hungry, so I ordered only for myself. The waitress looked at me in shock for ordering so little. This felt massively rude, and from then on, the other staff acted very coldly towards us. Even more shameful was the bill, where the meal (£5) plus the 5% gratuity (25p) totalled £5.30! Not worth going at all.
