Hidden around the back of Fulham Broadway by Eel Brook Common, this Spanish restaurant has a lively atmosphere and a menu of tapas, mains and the odd burger for those who don't fancy any chorizo. There's a pleasant terrace outside which is only in use at lunch times. Catering for private parties of up to 40 guests is available upon request.

I went to El Metro with a group of friends and we wanted to go out have a meal and catch up. Within 1/2 hr live music started to play and it was put through the speaker system in this small contained restaurant.
We could not talk or hear anything but the guitar music and singing. I asked if they could please turn it down a little as we could not speak or hear ourselves talk ... nothing happened. 1/2 hour later I asked politely again to the head waitress who sourly said no and started to elbow me out of the way. I was shocked and asked why she just said it was not possible... and did nothing about it and pushed me out of the way!!!!
As there were 10 of us in the restaurant and 6 of them were my friends I found this astounding!
I will never go back as I have never been elbowed and pushed out of the way by anyone before especially the waitress. Bad service, bad attitude... bad setting!

Me and my husband went for some tapas and paella in El Metro Fulham.
We had Patatas Bravas and Chorizo as starters and Paella Valenciana as a main course.
The tapas were good size and tasty, but we were very disappointed with the Paella. That was the worst Paella we ever tried in our lives! It came after 15 min. and I know that fresh Paella takes about 40 min. to cook. It was like a mountain of dry rice with seafood and chicken on top, it looked like someone added seafood and chicken on pre-cooked rice. AWFUL! The waiters were friendly but with limited english- they couldn't explain why THE PAELLA WAS NOT FRESH! In my opinion, Spanish Restaurants with so bad Paella like the one we had, can not be recommended to anybody.
AVOID THIS SPANISH PLACE!

I must say I have never had such an awful experience. Food was absolutely unpresentable, stale and tasteless. Overall, an offense to the Spanish people, culture and cuisine. Restaurants like this should not stay open. Not worth going at all!
