This is a tiny corner of traditional Japan with a touch of modernity and feels unpretentious and homely: it is very well taken care of and we were treated like guests. The place was packed but did not but did not feel crowded: I believe this is due to a simple and effective setting and the attentive staff. There is plenty of choice and all is reassuringly fresh: they prepare the fish at the refrigerated counter before your eyes.
All this at a reasonable price and with a smile.

Brilliant! My partner and I found this place by accident about a month ago and have returned a few times since, booking is essential as it gets quite busy, we have been lucky on the occcassions we went were we made no booking, but the staff where very happy to try and accomodate us.

The best sushi I've had in London. The prices are reasonable, the service is attentive, the decor is lovely. And for a small venue, it hardly feels cramped, just very intimate, almost as if you're in a friend's dining room.

I cannot reccommend the Kyoto Salad enough! Lightly seared fresh tuna with a cracked black pepper and soy marinade, laid around a plate of fresh salad leaves and a house dressing. Pe

the scoring in my previous review was an error I give Kyoto 9 as its only problem is its tiny and its a drag to be tuurned away!

this is one of the finds of Soho, a well run stylish sushi bistro with the freshest sushi in London and served with a smile! their speciality is their soft shell crab roll. If you are persistent you might persuade them to indulge you in some fine Korean food as well although its not on the menu officially!!
