We discovered Bon Gusto across from our hotel in London (St. James Court), and we were so delighted that we returned three times during our stay. The food was excellent; we had lasagna and fish, and it was really tasty. The service was also excellent -- friendly, cheerful, attentive. The price was also very reasonable. When we are in London again, we will visit Bon Gusto again. It was a delight.

Came across this returning late on a cold January night to our hotel and we were delighted. Very friendly. My wife and I returned the next morning for a late breakfast (11am) --different staff but just as friendly and courteous. While we waited three more couples arrived...some were locals and talked to the staff by name. Another client was a worker from a nearby construction site -and he was treated with the same courtesy as the regulars and us. Good food and excellent coffee.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for a late lunch. The service, food and wine perfect. I had calzone and salad and highly recommend it. I went two days in a row and thought how charming it was for the wait staff to remember us. Thank you.

Horrible experience, staff/owner has no manners, very rude and unprofessional.

Purchased voucher from KGB deals, called them and booked the table on last day of expiry and when we reached there we were told that we are fully booked and can't accommodate you. I explained (3 times) I already have a reservation but he was like no we are fully book (I wonder he knows the meaning of reservation!) and you have to wait 30 mins, when we agreed to wait story changes and may be you have to wait 45 minutes, again we agreed but now we were asked to wait 1 hour and we agreed to wait again so we were told that we closes at 9:00 so you have to come tomorrow. We wasted about 15 minutes for no good reason and he told us he'll extend our voucher, come tomorrow and reserved table for next day. Because of previous bad experience I called them next day before going there and , not to my surprise, his response was vouchers are expired and we won't accept them.

I have never seen such unprofessional behaviour before and I won't recommend them at all.

My family and I go to Bon Gusto whenever we're in London. We discovered this restaurant on our first trip to London, and we enjoyed it so much that we went there every morning for breakfast. Our last evening we finally had a chance to try their dinner selections, and we regretted not having gone there for dinner earlier. Everything was delicious. It's a very small restaurant, and there are times that service is slower, but I've found that to be true of most restaurants. The staff have always been friendly and we've never had a problem with anything.

I have to disagree with the above - I have always had good service and food at the restaurant, and they dealt admirably with a party I arranged for a retirement (15 guests in all and as many bottles of wine as people!). I've always found them helpful on the phone and their availability is good. Aren't restaurants in London inconsistent?! But I would recommend Bon Gusto wholeheartedly as a nice little Italian that's handy for office lunches.

I didn't even want to give it 1/10. Minus 10 out of 10 us more like it.

Absolutely shocking service. The service was slow, food was late - when it turned up it was cold, one dish for a vegetarian had bacon in and the third plate didn't turn up at all. The waitress was rude. Do not waste your time or money here. It is the worst restaurant I have ever been to.
