Chef Bruce Poole and restaurateur Nigel Platts-Martin are behind Chiswick’s La Trompette, as well as The Greenhouse and Chez Bruce, so there’s some masterful execution in the kitchen as well as knowledgeable and helpful staff. Here the head chef is Anthony Boyd, a Michelin-starred chef who had previously worked at The Greenhouse for ten years, as well as doing stints at The Square and Chez Bruce.
The food is French, particularly from the south western regions, as are the wines, although there are some smart selections from Italy and Spain too. Sommelier Matthieu Longuere has put together a list of 600 bins.
