The restaurant has various plus points upon being welcomed into the warm atmosphere. Amongst an extraordinary dining experience catered for by well trained staff, the food is delicious. Hats off to the chef on this one! This isn't a one off either! Expect more visits from yours truly! An impressionable meal on a seldomly impressed critic! VoilĂ ! Excellent the food is here!

Sitar is a warm and welcoming restaurant, and I cannot get enough of its delicious food and hospitable staff. After new management I had my doubts, the food has changed slightly but is as good as ever. Highly recommended if you seek authentic Indian cuisine. Dishes such as the chicken pakora, saag panner, tandoori chicken, lamb biriyani are my addictions!

I have been to the Sitar many times and am a friend to the owner of the restaurant. i came across this website by chance and found a couple of bad reviews which might put some of you off. so i thought id take the time to explain the situation as i know it. the owner (HRK) sadly had been quite ill for the past 2 and a half years and eventually passed away from his ailment. that is mostly why the management HAD been shakey lately, but i am most pleased to say that the restaurant did remain in the family and is under new and improved management. the food is great, i take a couple of friends and travel from east london to west for a meal. so yes, i would hope any misconception is now cleared. thanks

I have been to the Sitar many times, will not go again, Balti was cold and worst of all the samosa's, were clearly large supermarket bought in bulk, they had crispy batter (deep fried!!) and mincemeat was the horrible little bits, certainly not homemade which they assured me they were.

I have been to this restaurant more than 50 times and the food has always been very good. The decor is typical Indian restaurant and the service is good. I would recommend the king prawn dansak for those who like a madras/jalfreizi level of spiciness, other dishes that are very good are the sag aloo, chana massala, madras and jalfreizi (apologies for any misspelling).

Probably one of the better Indian Restaurants in the locale, with an atttractive purple decor and relaxing ambience. I found the Thali I ordered to be quite rich, which is good if you're heading out for a rich meal, not so good if you're simply substituting dinner. It is a bit pricier than The Coriander Leaf down the road, and is aiming a little bit more upmarket. In my experience if you're looking for Indian Food close to South Ealing Tube Station I'd opt for this or Zakya just down the road. For a preferable dining experience to the above I'd take the train one further stop and go to Papaya in Northfields which serves Sri Lankan food, in particular a tastey Lamb Biryani or squid curr
