Monty's South Ealing is proud of the tradition started in the 1980s when three gentlemen (Mr Hari Thapa, Mr Karki and Mr Shrestha) opened the first Monty's on London's South Ealing (224 South Ealing Road). After decades of working hard to bring Nepalese style and tradition to EnglandÕs dinner table, today Monty's is recognized as a leading Asian themed restaurant.

Best curry house in West London!
Been to guru, lentil, zayka all the way to kathmandu in in shepards bush and nothing compares to montys in south ealing road!
The food takes me back to the 90s and its great to see the old dishes with new twists

Our group of six dined at Monty's last night and we were all very pleased. The meals were spicy and flavourful, just how we'd requested them. I am vegetarian and loved all the veg dishes we ordered. Reports on the rest, including lamb, chicken was also excellent. I'll definitely be ordering from there and popping in when in the hood. Definitely can recommend. Thanks!

Me and some friends went to Montys and Ive been to the other one in Ealing Broadway, so I compared and found it was good value, excellent service, the food was piping hot and tasty, could not find fault with it at all and my friends wanted me to re-book to go back at another time. Try it out!

Tried a selection of dishes tonight and they were all extremely disappointing.
Massively overpriced considering the quality of the food. One dish was cold and the "specialities" ordered weren't special at all; the Shashlik Suppa one of the most disgusting things I have ever tried to eat. The chicken in it had not been cooked in the tandoor, it lacked any flavour and was swamped in a foul sauce.
I agree with the previous poster who said much the same. There are plenty of far better Indian restaurants locally (Tandoori Villa in Ranelagh Road for instance).
I won't use Montys again.

After trying Monty's when we first moved in a few years ago and not being overly impressed we decided to give it another go tonight. Well I'm really sorry we did, it was just as awful as we remembered, actaully worse. Tonight, we ordered a starter to share and as we bit in to it, it was still frozen in the middle! We complained and decided to not risk our health for the main and left without paying.
I would not recommend this restuarant at all under any circumstances. There are many other Indian/Nepalese restuarants to choose from in this area of Ealing that are fantastic, so please do not waste your time or money going to Monty's! Please try Papauya or MaMa's on Northfield's Avenue, they are fantastic!

Have been to Monty's on South Ealing Rd at least half a dozen times now and it has been consistently good. The lamb shank is particularly fine and has become a firm favourite. The ambience of the restaurant isn't the greatest, lighting a bit bright perhaps? But the service is always friendly and the overall experience is fully worthy of 8 stars, and that is saying something, 'cos I am hard to please.

Have been to Monty's a number of times over the years, generally good meals, but some bad ones thrown in as well. I think its quite expensive for the quality of the food, but on a night in Ealing after a few beers its normally enjoyable.
