Trattoria Italiana Biagio was originally opened in 1980, and was the first of what has now become the Biagio Restaurant Group. Serving traditional Italian cuisine situated next to Charing Cross Station, and close to Embankment Tube Station, this restaurant has built itself a reputation for good service and good food. Ideal venue for business lunches or pre-theatre dinner.

I read the another review and had concerns; but the
atmosphere; could lower the lights, but over all good. A bit crowded but what London restaurant ISN'T??!
The food was really wonderful, 4 of us went and all of us enjoyed our meals! The starters are overpriced, nearly the same cost as the mains, but they were wonderful.
Probably the best cup of capuccino I've had outside of Italy.
I would definitely go again.
The convenience to Charing Cross makes it even better!

Biagio's service was extremely slow. The apple tart was chewy and they over charged me on the bill by £40. The bill was handwritten, covered in Tipp-Ex and hard to follow. They automatically wrote in an additional 10% service charge. The restaurant is cramped and the toilets are low standard. I'd save yourself the money.
