Situated near the Opera House, this colourful brasserie offers good, inexpensive food. There are two dining areas - the first floor with its French windows overlooking Wellington Street and the bustly, vibrant ground floor, where the whole frontage can open up and become a real al fresco brasserie (weather permitting).

I think the food was good but the staff not so. I overheard one of the managers telling one of the waiters off for getting an order wrong which made it pretty awkward. Waiters seemed pretty miserable and overworked, atmosphere was not great!
Anywhere that enticed me to enjoy calf's liver, fried sage and creamy mashed potato for the first time in twenty-three years can't be too bad! Good food in reasonable portions; serious, efficient and effective service. And a reasonable bill for Central London.
The only points for work are the shabby state of the Gents' toilets: clean, but shabby; and the strange musical choice for a Sunday afternoon. A bit more jazz or chanson and a bit less pop/rock might be good.
Overall, thanks for a good Sunday afternoon
We went for the lunchtime special which we thought was going to be a good deal. 3 of us had the soup of the day (mushroom) which was so salty it was inedible. The other entrees apparently were not that nice either.
Mains were a bit better, but really nothing special at all.
I wouldn't go back.
food fab atmosphere very relaxed, service very good - very lovely staff
Although it was a busy (Aug) bank holiday, the staff found us a great table and were attentive throughout. Excellent food at an affordable price.

Fantastic meal experienced at the Boulevard when me and two friends went for dinner the other evening. The food there is an amzaing standard considering you're not paying a fortune. Our waitress was great fun and very attentive. Our first bottle of wine was corked, but the manager changed it straight away and was very appologetic - the next one was lovely! For a restaurant right in the heart of covent garden it was a brilliant find and will certainly be going back there again very soon!
This was a very disappointing meal mainly because of the very poor service. The food was fine, though nothng special and a rather limited menu, but it is a reasonable price and a central location so would have be fine if our waiter hadn't refused to speak to us when we had requests, refused to bring us water or condiments, was generally rude and then pretended that he was the manager once we complained. The actual manager, once located, was very helpful, hauling off his rude colleague and taking him off our table, but the bill still charged us for two more people than there had been (though we finally negotiated a 25% discount). Very disappointing.
Had a dinner for four at this unpretentious central Covent Garden brasserie. The welcome and service throughout was friendly and efficient and could not be faulted. We sat upstairs by the french windows and benefitted from both the open windows and the effectice air conditioning.
Food was spot on. Really good comfort food well prepared and at sensible prices
Restaurant was very busy throughout our time and all customers appeared as content as we were. Will definitely return - a real 'find' in an otherwise touristy location
A disappointment. Sat for a good while before being asked if we wanted drinks. Ordered fillet of lamb and was served insultingly small piece of meat which was largely fat and gristle. The only vegetable was broccoli, which had been dipped in boiling water but was otherwise uncooked and inedible. Not good enough for £14.95. Partner's meal was 'OK'. Cheapest red wine is £12.95 not the £11 I think they still have on their website.
Went to this place by accident, and must say that was a really really nice surpise! The waiters were really helpful even at a busy night. They asked us to wait 5 minutes, and then got us a table. Very polite, and helpful in explaining the dishes. One of todays special was grilled tuna, and that is the best tuna I have ever had. Delicate, and rare as ordered! Great! Prices were surprisingly good, especially for covent garden! I will be a regular at this place!
Really very, very good. Visited with a few friends for the first time and I was extremely impressed. From the friendly greeting as we walked through the door to the cheery goodbye as we left the service was friendly and on the ball. Food was reasonably priced with lots of choice - even on vegetarian which suited me - and the dishes were all delicious. I will be returning. Debbie Davison
We ate here for a birthday meal. We started with drinks in the bar downstairs & moved into the restaurant. The setting was good, atmosphere ideal, relaxed yet buzzy. The service was fine, the staff were happy to decorate the table, & although one waiter struggled to smile, his colleagues were fine. Our food was good, when 3 people did complain the Tuna was overcooked, it was replaced with little fuss. I would go back again.
On Friday evening, my boyfriend and I shared the set menu for £15 per person. The service was terrible - very miserable staff who threw cutlery etc at the table and the food was bland, tasteless, overcooked and just dreadful. I really do not recommend this restaurant and find it hard to believe that anyone has ever enjoyed a meal at this attrocious restaurant.
I liked this place too - good food and really cosy surroundings. If I'm honest I wasn't that impressed with the service but I guess it was pretty busy so the waitresses had a lot to contend with... hopefully it will be better when I next go back.
We went to Boulevard Brasserie for my birthday and had the All In London special offer. The offer was a set 3 course menu with a glass of champagne thrown in. Unlike other special offer set menus I've had I was very pleased to see how generous the portions were, I had the Goats Cheese starter and the Salmon main course which were both very good.
I'd definately go again. Book in advance though, it gets busy and lots of people were turned away.
