Rules is the oldest restaurant and dates back over 200 years to the time of Napolean! It has been owned by only three families in that time, most recently sold in 1984 to John Mayhew, who still owns it today. The restaurant is a real British institution, specialising in game from the restaurant's own estate, oysters and pies. The surroundings are also very traditional and take you back to a bygone era, accentuated by the hundreds of drawings, paintings and cartoons which adorn the walls and have been collected and gifted over the ages.

Food, service, decor - amazing. However, quite pricey! Very enjoyable evening despite that :)
