High hopes because it is an old restaurant with an illustrious history but it was not good. Too many people standing around in a near empty restaurant and attentive as they tried to be they got our order wrong.
The chicken dish was supposed to have come in an orange sauce which actually turned out to be more like an improvised on a base of Heinz tomato soup (pretty sure that is what it was). The dish was literally covered in this goo and the stuffing used for the chicken was so sweet as to make it inedible. They served side salad instead of the bacon salad we asked for - should have been easy to get right but the centre piece of the thing was rocket leaves that had wilted and a few strands were ready for the compost. Thought we would pass on the desert.
The staff were friendly and efficient but the dining room itself could do with a de-clutter and some paint to freshen it up. The cooking was terrible and we would not go back there. Dissapointing.
Biagi's serve a variety of Italian dishes at their restaurant.
