The Polo

This restaurant is no longer called the Polo; it's Pojangmacha, which means 'street food stall' and it's terrific! Beef or chicken bibimbab with bright red chilli sauce, kimchi, onion pancake, shredded radish, beansprouts, seaweed and beer for just £11 a head. Expect down-to-earth surroundings, great food and great service! The food comes very quickly and is piping hot in stone bowls. It's best for lunch; be there at 12 noon, opening time, to get a table; it fills up very quickly. Then have a walk round the area: Denmark Street for all the musical instrument shops and nearby bookshops. After that, there's the whole of Oxford Street to take in. It's buzzing!
