The Scotch Steak Houses offer British food with an emphasis on beef. The food is of a fair standard but the prices are reasonable and the restaurant caters well for children.

my friend & l visited the branch in Piccadilly yesterday , we were very very disappointed with the staff, we were not offered ice or lemon in our coke, the steak was tough & under cooked ( we asked for med/ W.D) we had to wait for the mustard to be put into bowels the brought over to our table( waiter didn't smile, & she had mustard on her fingers l notice as she put the bowels on the table) Then to top it all when the bill came we were charged separate for the chips, in all the time l have been to any Restaurant/ Steak house l have never been asked to pay for chips separately, we were taken back, we shall never recommend this place to anyone, there were a few other customer there( poor them ) we paid the bill which was over £45, and left..... never to return.

I have been eating there tonight.I am travelling the world since 30 years this is one of the worst restaurant on this planet. The food is just disgusting. I have order chiken wings as a starter they were barely defrosted.
I followed with a mixed grill of the house everything was "burned" .I am not talking about the Marguerita i've ordered as an appetizer nothing was tasting less of a marguerita than what i've got.Not a single waitress came to check if everything was ok. The poor girls probably know the answer too well. When asking the check i told however that the food was disgusting. She "offered" she was sorry.
To Avoid absolutely! But everybody amost does already cause it was almost nobody in there , no wonder why!

My partner and I had the misfortune to eat hear last Friday. We made the mistake of being attracted by a sign outside saying Rump Steak and Chips at £11.20. We wanted a quick pre-theatre meal so went in.
We had the meal eventually after waiting some time. It was terrible. We both had to cut off at least a third of the steak to get rid of the gristle. We were not asked if everything was OK and had to attract a waitress to ask for the bill as we decided not to risk a pudding or a coffee.
When we got the bill it was for £13.60 each. On querying this we were informed the meal we had was from the menu and not that as advertised outside and that one would be smaller.
This had not been made clear at the time of ordering. To make maters worse there was a fixed service charge of 10%. Although unhappy with this con, and due to our time retraint, and language difficulty with the waitress; we paid and left in disgust, vowing not to go near one of these steakhouses again.
I felt obliged to warn others of this con and suggest they avoid this chain like the plague.
