Tom’s Kitchen is a modern British brasserie serving comfort food favourites in a relaxed and informal environment, from breakfast to dinner, seven days a week. Tom’s Kitchen Chelsea opened in 2006 and its menu combines modern twists on traditional French fare including Steak Tartare, Chicken Liver Parfait and Apple & Calvados Tart with classic British staples such as Fish Pie, Macaroni Cheese with a grating of truffles and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Its ethos is simple: use the very best seasonal and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Tom’s Kitchen also offers two rooms for private dining, drinks parties and canapé receptions.

We talk politely to Tom Aikens, only to allow enough time to steal his famous hot cross bun recipe ;-)

Tom Aikens may have competed on Channel 4’s Iron Chef, but he made his name with stints at La Tainte Claire and Pied A Terre (earning two Michelin stars along the way) before opening his eponymous restaurant in Chelsea. Since then he’s had some bad fortune, with his first restaurant going into administration and third venture Tom’s Place lasting a mere six months. Tom’s Kitchen is proof that he is capable of great things.
