Locale

I never give ten out of ten because nothing's perfect, but Locale Restaurant in Blackheath has consistently scored top marks for me and my family and that's over a "long" period of time, some 5 years. Never disappointed. Unlike a lot of the other restaurants in Blackheath, Locale's entire menu is cooked freshly and you can see it happening in their open plan kitchen, nothing to hide there and nothing pre prepared off site in a factory either. Staff always attentive and knowledgeable too. We avoid the Saturdays and Fri nights as it can get supper busy and a bit noisy for us. Oth

Decided to use this restaurant for a birthday celebration although the reviews we had read were mixed (hey, it's close by!).

We'd been there before for a drink and liked the look and feel of their bar and diningroom. Went for dinner on a Monday night when the steaks are half price. Each of us were served a well-made cocktail in the bar before dinner, then had antipasto for two which we shared between three and it was delicious. All ordered steak and they were all excellent too. One of us had room for Tiramisu and that was excellent also.

Would definitely go back.
