The Brumus sister properties are the Soho & Charlotte Street hotel. The Italian/European menu offers both modern and traditional dishes. We were particularly looking forward to our visit having seen the details of the restaurant on the internet. What a terrible disappointment awaited us - our dinner starters were the most meagre portions I had ever seen at the price and they were not even well presented! The main courses were edible if ordinary, although the order for one of them was wrong. The wine we ordered was placed in an 'out of reach' position, and we sat with empty glasses for some time before someone eventually noticed that I was about to rise from the table to pour it myself. Not what one would expect from a '5 Star' establishment. We didn't even bother with desserts or coffee as we were totally fed up with the whole experience by this time.
