Thai Silk is part of the new wave of Oriental restaurants with a lively atmosphere that serve a variety of authentic Thai dishes including green curry, Pad Thai noodles and Tom Ka Gai to name but a few gastronomic delights.
Thai Silk
All In London Review
Cheap and cheerful at the o2
The o2 Centre is not short of places to eat, and if you like glorified fast food chains in the form of Nandos, Pizza Express and Iguanas you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Set menus are £7.95, including a platter of starters to share, and a main plus rice or noodles I was expecting poor quality but I was wrong. Our starters comprised sticky rice cooked in a sweet sauce, spring rolls and Satay chicken. Green Chicken Curry was delicious, the chicken was tender with a hint of lemongrass and ginger. For desert we had the naughtiest of banana fritters with vanilla ice cream.
In terms of the venue Thai Silk is huge, prepared to accommodate the thousands of people that pass through the o2 each day, and ambience and décor are nothing special. However if you’re after a cheap, appetising meal, this is possibly the best of the bunch.
