I can't recommend this restaurant on any count at all! Even taking into account that I arrived on a warm Sunday afternoon at 3pm for a late lunch, when you would expect the service to have slowed a bit, it was so poor you can’t sympathise with the staff.
All of the tables were occupied when we arrived, mostly by people enjoying a leisurely afternoon bottle of wine by the river. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table; I was with my wife and another couple. After being seated I asked the lady who brought our menu if she could clean the table. My wife had gone to the toilet with her friend; her placing in particular was very dirty, there were tomato seeds dried on the table, bread crumbs in the grooves of the table, and lots of salt in the middle of the table. To my surprise the lady asked us why we were asking to have the table cleaned and she brushed the salt away with her hand. I responded that it would be hygienic to clean the table – she returned with a damp cloth (and an attitude!) and half heartedly wiped the table (leaving the dried tomato and bread crumbs!
We were served drinks in a reasonable(ish) time of 10 minutes. We placed our food order. We then sat back at watched a farce of an effort to run a restaurant. One table next to us had a bottle of white wine which had been served to them while they waited to be seated without a chiller. They had to go and help themselves to that and their menus after 10 minutes as they were receiving no service (Their table hadn’t been cleaned either). Another table next to us had waited 45 minutes for a salad and left, as they said they were worried what was going on in the kitchen. We saw 5 to 6 tables leave as they were waiting for at least 45 minutes to over an hour for food.
While I waited I went to the toilet inside, and found the restaurant was almost empty inside. It really wasn’t busy, which drives me to write this review. I’m sure the restaurant owners will be shocked to see the lack of business done in such a
