Firstly do not be put off my her negative reviews!
Went there for my birthday meal, absolutly fantastic food! Host was very friendly and it had an authentic, family run feel.
Yes they do not currently have a card machine, but so what? A short trip up the road was easy and simple, and if you decide to go there, just take some cash with you.
I found the menu, although not huge, had some amazing dishes. I would highly recommend the Lamb (simply perfection).
they do not have an alcohol license, so bring your own wine/drinks, but this doesnt mar the experience, and we will certaily be going back! :)

What do 45 rugs, 34 plants, two diners, two waiters (who are also the chefs) and an inability to process debit card transactions have in common? Unfortunately, the answer is Afghan Khayber.
My wife and I paid a visit to Afghan Khayber for a celebratory meal. Striving for diversity in our dining ventures and hoping for something new to the pallet, we were disappointed to be greeted by a restaurant cluttered with rugs, pot plants, a scummy fish tank and a ship's steering wheel?!? There were no other diners bar the two of us and the somber, lifeless atmosphere was very awkward.
We were presented with glossy paper menus, the kind that are unsolicitedly posted through your letterbox. It lacked substance and offered very little selection - not a bad thing when the food is cooked to perfection and the ingredients garden fresh, alas, this wasn't the Khayber experience.
The food was very, very average - chicken curry, fruity and fragrant, but lacking spice and depth, lamb chops that lacked seasoning of any sort, chicken kebab, again very little flavour, chapli kebabs were tasty, but slightly too salty and naan bread that left lots to be desired.
To complete such an unfortunate experience, upon being presented with the bill (of which a total had not been calculated), we were told their card machine was faulty and that the cash machine was only 'on' (not one) minute up the road. The urge not to return with payment was overwhelming, yet I'd left my wife as security so begrudgingly I returned and paid.
'Please be constructive, no ranting' it says, when leaving comments on this website. I'm very sorry, but I'd implore anyone considering a visit to this restaurant to reconsider.
