My Review

1 out of 10 stars

Truly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in London.

The food was bad, the starters were hardly worth a separate column on the menu, esp the vegetarian ones, the main course was also not upto the mark. I got stones in my makhni daal.

To top that the service was pathetic, neither did the waiter/manager not apologise for the stones, they actually said that its ok to expect such occurances, also the servers were fumbling and spilling all over the place.

Lastly a 1.50 cover charge for a mere popadum and a pre-added 15% gratuity to the bill, definitely not justify the worth.

All in all I'd say dont waste your time & money here

There is a £1.50 cover charge for a poppadum each, whether you want it or not. This is served with communal sauces, obviously recycled from another table!

The services is slow, incompetent (we had to ask for table water three times, and still only got one glass for seven people), and outright rude.

One waiter tried to clear the table after we'd eaten, stuck his behind in my face and 'apologised' with "Sorry, mate".

After this, we decided to not pay the 'optional' 15% gratuity added to our bill without asking us. The waiter and restaurant manager both came out to demand the tip!

The *worst* restaurant experience I've had in London!

This restaurant is expensive. The food is nice, but not quite worth the money. Some examples: there is a £1.50 cover charge, £5 for a pint and they automatically add 15% gratuity to your bill.

We were very disappointed with Gaylord. Prices far too high. The staff think that they are doing you a favour. Food very average although they try to be "upmarket" by giving dishes different names to most Indians. The Standard in Westbourne Grove beats Gaylord by a mile.
