anyone who has been to or ordered a takeaway from here will know the driver employed by the shop. i brought a rice cooker back from Thailand for her . not only did she not offer any money for this favour (as it was 7 kilo and took up half my suitcase )her niece ( who bought it and met me at bangkok airport and gave me it) opened it and filled the inside up with an assortment of thai vegetables which i unknowingly took through thai customs and immigration !!!what sort of person does this to a loyal and honest member of staff. ??

the worst Thai iv ever had. The mixed starter was ok considering that was all deep fried and out of a packet(Not home made). The fish soup was described as hot and sour which it was neither and pretty bland. As for the Pad Thai noddles were like leather and the Red curry had the constancy a very salty tomato soup poured over king prawns.All the dishes had no chillies ,Fresh lime,Coriander, lemon grass or any of the fresh ingredients you would expect from a Thai Restaurant. The sticky rice was fine. portions are small.

We have eaten in many Thai restaurants but we can truly say we finally found a real Thai taste at Dan Thai.They serve they most authentic Thai food in town.Staff are very pleasant and friendly.Highly recommended.

Recently happened upon this restaurant while visiting the area. There's another Thai restaurant nearby but we chose this as it looked low key and sometimes that proves to be the better in terms of quality of food and/or service. Whilst I couldn't comment on the other restaurant, this one certainly didn't disappoint from either the quality/quantity of food or the excellent service from the waitress who actually turned out to be the owner. We've eaten in lots of Thai eateries, here and in Thailand (and elsewhere) and this one certainly ranks in the top 3. The proof of the pudding is whether you'd go back to a place and the decision would be a resounding yes for Dan Thai.
