I went to this restaurant after reading the reviews. The hotel iteself was warm and cosy and the staff were friendly.

I have been to greece and cyrpus many times, so know what I like. I chose teh kleftiko and was disappointed to see that it was not prepared in the tradtional way which is in a clay pot with lots of vegatables. It was just some lamb on a plate with a bit of onions. I also asked for some roast patatoes and was again disappointed to see that it was literally 3 patatoes in a plate.

Whilst the food was cooked well, it is not traditional greek, but totally different.

Have been going to Daphne for years and introduced it to family and friends who all rate it as highly as I do. The staff are fantastic! The welcome is that of close friends and the service is excellent. They all know when to be there and when not to be! Never in all the years have any of us received anything other than the most superb of meals. Specialities vary with the season and every new introduction to the board is a taste of Greek Cypriot food at its best. I have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful, small, atmospheric, welcoming restaurant to all who want a great meal. Excellence guaranteed!

I have been going to Daphnes for at least 10 years and without a doubt think it is the loveliest restaurant around. The atmosphere is perfect, the hospitality is second to none and the food is just amazing. Its a perfect hidden gem of a restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food and a friendly environment. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and everything is done with a smile. Just ask Nicholas to show you some magic to finish the night off lol

Daphnes is one of the best Greek/Cypriot restaurants we know in central london. The lunch time menu is particularly fine and such good value and quality. The staff are wonderful and happy to help wherever they can, they also provided me with a free greek lesson! I will definitely return, next time with friends!

I have dined at Daphne's for many years now and I still get the same standard of service I did when I first went there. A very welcoming family run restaurant who make you feel at home from the minute you walk in!!!!!
The food is gorgeous and it's very great value for money.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.........
