I have been eating here five years - it is my favourite Indian restaurant in London. Great food, efficient friendly staff, good decor. I would highly recommend trying it.

I've visited the KT on and off for 5 or 6 years and have always been met with good service and some excellent curries. The staff are well presented, friendly and attentive, without being pushy. The menu is more imaginative than average, pleasing most tastes and even as a vegetarian there is plenty of choice. Choosing an Indian restaurant anywhere can be a risky business, but the KT is a safe choice.

I can only assume the previous comments were posted by the rival indian up the road, or must have been very unlucky indeed. As a regular at KT I cannot fault the service, they always recognise us, are scrupulously clean & polite. And the food is superb. Our meal last night: Naan breads light, fresh and piping hot (ask for a garlic chilli naan and you won't be dissapointed), papri ma gosht was delicious with finely sliced lamb in amazing fresh and zingy sauce, lamb patia was perfect - hot & sweet with good sized chunks of lamb. The saag paneer was sweet and creamy with loads of pieces of fresh paneer cheese. The decor is clean and bright, air conditioned. 10 out of 10 every time. Excellent!!

this is probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to first I tried getting a delivery to my house when I was told that they will not deliver to my door but to the bottom of my appartment block (not sure they understand the words delivery service) so I picked up my delivery from the bottom floor cold & not what I orderded when I complained the manager basically told me TOUGH!!!!
So when asked out to dinner by friends we thought they deserved a second chance it must have been the worst food with even worse service I have ever recieved. Cold, wrong order & definately not fresh food served by dirty unfriendly staff who seemed to only be interested in a table in the corner (some MP)RUBBISH

I was extremely disappointed by my meal at the Kennington Tandoori. They served me, a non-beef eater, a minced meat dish and when I complained, said that "it happens - what did I want them to do about it?!" It seems their ordering system cannot be relied upon, but more troubling than this was the attitude of the manager, who was both dismissive and aggressive. If you're either a vegetarian or someone with a food allergy, I'd advise trying somewhere else as you cannot assume that the dish you order is the one which will end up in front of you - and you certainly won't get an apology when they get it wrong.

The first thing that struck me about this restaurant was the unfriendly staff. The next that they refused to bring pompadoms until we had ordered-not exactly conducive to a relaxing experience! I also noticed the food was not kept warm by those nice little heaters some restaurants have (they clearly don't want you hanging out)
The lamb was described as tender. It in fact was hard and dry.
The manager disagreed with my opinion but replaced the meal with a chicken
bhuna.
In the night i awoke vomiting and was sick the whole next day, the first time in years. When i went back to inform the manager he was not at all sorry and denied that it could have been his food! I will not be going bac
