My Review

6 out of 10 stars

Beautiful interior and lovely setting/atmosphere but extremely over-priced for what it is. Upper end West End prices for OK but not spectacular steak/roast type meals - over £120 incl wine for 2 people when we went and slow service which also got two things wrong. You can spend your money a lot better elsewhere, it's fine but the nice decor doesn't justify the inflated prices and you can eat just as well as many of the chains. Disappointing.

My Review

10 out of 10 stars

I've eaten at Maggie Jones for nearly 20 years now and the standards both in food and service have never faltered once. The portions are NOT small, they are actually rather large and the food is excellent. If I could change one thing at Maggie Jones, it would be to bring back Jonny as Maitre D, as he made the place extra special but if you've never been there before, and therefore don't know what you are missing by him no longer being there, then I suggest you give it ago as it is the best English food in town. I have recommended it to many friends over the years and they all go on to recommend it to their friends and this is the mark of a good restaurant. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is very unique and quite hidden out the way! It is very cosy inside with amazing food and really friendly staff. I have been here a number of times and have always enjoyed it. A must try.

My Review

8 out of 10 stars

This little gem is wonderful for cosy dates or meals with friends/small groups. Has great ambience with real rustic feature. Reminds me of an old french cottage. Food portions are small but are of high quality, service not so bad either! Went during summer but would great for Xmas or during the evenings. Food is very English: Fish pies and steaks. As a student it's one of those places where you could only go once every often. Not too expensive but portions are small. I would definitely do dinner or take a date to Magge Jones. Would suggest making reservations.
