Union Cafe has excellent food but shockingly rude service.
I spent a pleasant early-evening meal there with friends on a Wednesday night. The food was excellent - I had roast duck for starter and rare seared tuna for main, both of which were tasty and well-executed.
However, throughout the evening I was forced to battle with incompetant and rude waiting staff. This culminated in being asked to leave very soon after paying because the restaurant had foolishly already booked the table for another party. I understand the pressure for tables in London but having passed less than two hours in the place and spent around £45 per head I felt insulted. I can no longer recommend this venue.

Food is excellent. Pity the staff don't serve with enthusiasm or interest in the customers.
