I've not reviewed a bar before but had such a terrible experience at Zebranos that I have signed up to this (and a number of other) review sites to leave my opinion.

I went with a largish group for a work Christmas party on Wednesday night. Atmosphere in the bar (all levels) was zero. Admittedly, it was a Wednesday night but still its Soho and its nearly Christmas, one would have thought there would be at least some atmosphere.

We booked an area for 30, but they gave us seating supposedly for 15 but actually for 10. When we complained, they told us this was their standard practice. Our area (upstairs) was not ready when we arrived as there was another party still going on, and was not ready for at least another 30mins. The bar upstairs at first refused to do cocktails, instead asking us to go downstairs, but later very reluctantly (and rudely) agreed to make basic cocktails.

The decor is shabby & in need of refurbishment - in particular, they should look at the lighting on the ground level, and I dont know why, but upstairs (where we were herded once it became free) smelt like dirty oil reminiscent of a dodgy fish & chip shop.

To top off our not-particularly-exciting experience, the Bar manager was incredibly rude on a number of occasions. To give you a feel of his attitude: 1) I'd ordered drinks from one of the bar staff and the manager interrupted before they were poured, he told the barman to go off elsewhere else, then just left me standing there waiting to catch another barman to be served again; and 2) When the manager served me later that night, he poured the worst two Martini's I've ever had (doesnt know a dirty martini from straight up, & used Kalamata olives!), one drink was far shorter than the other, and he took ages to finalise the bill because he was pouring himself a drink (which he fizzed all over me, without even bothering to apologise).

Arrogant & unfriendly. With leadership like that, no wonder the bar lacks atmosphere!
