My Review

2 out of 10 stars

Vietnamese food, done well, is awesome. "Pho", the restaurant, offers bland, flavourless food that just does not come close to the Vietnamese dishes they're claiming to offer.

1 star for the friendly & efficient staff. 1 star for the busy atmosphere. The food sucks.

This pho cafe is not to be missed if you're in the area. It really does fantastic food, and the service is excellent too. The beef phos here are my favourite - great cuts of meat, and great stock. To be honest, everything here is great, so just go.

I had a fantastic experience here. The food and service exceptional. I started with a fresh juice, and for my lunch I had the chicken summer rolls, which I loved, and the spicy beef soup, which was exceptional. Really good lunch cafe.

After having a particular hankering for Vietnamese food I found myself stuck in the westend and decided to give Pho Cafe a go. I was more than disappointed. I've had the luxury of sampling Pho in Sydney, LA, HCM and this takes the cake as the worst "interpretation" of the famous dish. Do yourself a favour and steer clear.

this place is clean and bright. always busy the staff struggle to keep up with the orders. for the un-educated the food will be considered good. sadly for those who know the food is very anglosized - namely it's not authentic vietnamese. the spring rolls are oily and limp (i have no idea what they are using to wrap them in), the summer rolls smell funny. as for the pho ...least said about that the better. this place is very much style over substance. if you're expecting the real thing head up to the kingsland road or deptford.
