My Review

8 out of 10 stars

Been going here for around 15 years went visiting my mate in South Ken. Quite an old polish restaurant looks a little worn which is part of the charm I think. Good vaue for money and very filling. Particularly like the Hungarian goulash and pork knuckle(yet to finish one so maybe best not to have a starter it's huge!). Good straightforward service which is what I like and a hidden gem. I believe tyhis place is over 60 years old so has stood the test of time when everything else has changed in this area.

My Review

9 out of 10 stars

I went there for dinner with my wife, purely by accident - we got intrigued by the logo proclaiming 'Warsaw - London' credentials of the firm. We were greeted nicely, attended to throughout the night very well, and served ...SPECTACULARLY GOOD food. Honestly, I can't remember last time I've had European food this tasty. We went for the top end of the scale and got roasted goose and flambeed deer. Both absolutely delicious. For what it was, I felt the value for money was very, very good as well. And we were treated with a shot of Wisniowka on the house. I'll be coming back. (They do need to sort out the deco a bit, particularly the toilets, but in the light of the quality of food - who cares!) Sincerely recommended.

My Review

10 out of 10 stars

Just happened past it after a trip to the V&A. Lots of people having fun on a Saturday lunch.

We snagged a table and then surveyed the other dinners meals to see what to order.

The food was fantastic. The stake tartare was made at the table side, the other food (stuffed cabbage/latkas/pancakes) brought from the kitchen to the plate by the chef, who could see whose appetite deserved more potatoes.

The house red was good. The hering pickled in their own rapeseed oil was amazing. I can't wait to go back and have been telling everyone who will listen to go. But if they are Polish they already know about it.
