Set in the heart of leafy Clapham, Gigalum is a year round oasis amongst the urban sprawl. A sighting of the venue’s palm tree signifies the minute’s walk from Clapham South Tube that will be well worth the effort, enticing you into its warm, comfortable surroundings where you can sample the bar’s great selection of food and drink.

The new menu offers a selection of traditional British cuisine with pan-Asian and Australian influences thanks to their award-winning chef Benjamin Mehan. Think delicious honey and ginger tiger prawns, hearty yet succulent braised lamb shanks, chicken stir fry with Asian greens, egg noodles and honey soy dressing, or salt and pepper calamari served with a bean sprout salad and a lemon aioli dip. Gigalum also offer a great brunch menu served at the weekend- grab a comfy seat, a complimentary paper, and sample our eggs benedict / florentine with fresh homemade hollandaise, a full english or the brunch burger. Alternatively, why not pop in for the Gigalum Sunday roast after a walk in the park?

Overlooking the common, the front garden has a great Mediterranean feel with plenty of seating and thanks to the parasols and heaters; this area can be enjoyed even on the coldest of nights. The cosy vibe continues inside, with a candlelit dinning area plus a snug quarter with soft cream leather sofas for those who wish to chill out with a cocktail and order a mixed platter of cheeses, sliced meats, calamari, dips, chorizo & olives with pita bread and a baguette, perfect for sharing with friends.
