Last week was my second time in this nice, cosy restaurant. Nothing fancy, but very good value for money. Well presented food, very tasty and good wine too. Lovely staff ready to give advise.
For those looking where to have lunch for no more than £10 ahead ( before 4pm), this is the place to go. They seems to have another good price rate up to 7pm as we discovered last week.
For sure whenever in London and near Oxford Street, this is going to be my place to eat.
I strongly recommended it to a lot of 15 Italian friends visiting London for the first time between the 14th and 17th June 2011 . I hope they can make it there.

I went to Pierre Victoire for dinner with a friend last week. We were given the menu and then forgotten about. Because we were so tired we didn't want to leave and look for another place so we tried to get the attention of waitstaff to get our orders. Twenty minutes later we succeeded.
It is a cramped place with poor acoustics, it got so noisy that we had to shout to hear each other as if we were in a bar. Our questions about the fish were greeted by a shrugging "I don't know and I don't care" attitude (obviously not in those words) so with fear of losing the waiter again we gave up ordered the duck and the chicken. Half an hour later my chicken arrived, and my friend had to wait for her duck for another 20 minutes. The chicken was undercooked and the vegetables next to it had alread gone cold when they arrived.
Overall we spent a good 2 hours mostly starving and waiting, all the while not being able to have a proper conversation. When it came to pay the bill, the waiter obviously thought that it was more important to clear up the 2 tables that had just left before bringing us our bill.
Don't go to this restaurant unless one or more of these apply:
1) You have the patience of Solomon.
2) You are at least partially deaf.
3) You hate the person who is your guest and want to make them suffer.
Seriously, there are much nicer places in Soho to part with your hard-earned cash and they do involve service with a smile.

This has become my favourite restaurant. It has a very cosy intimate atmosphere with very good food and service. It is usually very busy but worth the wait. I recently took my daughter there for a meal and we just had a great time. She also rates this restaurant. I intend to return time and time again.

I must say i was a bit dubious when i first stepped in but the food is amazing, the service is rather good and best of all the price! It has become a regular hangout for work lunches and because it is so good it is always busy, but well worth the wait.
Just wish it was a bit warmer, but apart from that a great find.

Good French food and atmosphere and a great-value early-evening menu. Recommended for when you're aiming for £10/head and French cuisine.

We have been regulars at this restaurants for about 10 years. We have always found the food very good. If you want Silver Service and white table cloths, with plush surroundings then this ISN'T the place for you. But if you want good food with the 'Cordon Bleu' touch and two owners who work hard to provide a cordial atmoshere, and an excellent house wine..... then The P.V is the place.

I have been here numerous times over the past three years, it is consistently good, I particularly like modern food when it is of good size portions! Staff are always friendly and knowledgable regarding the food and wine. There is often a shaky piano player who knocks out about the same four popular tunes (not chopsticks though!) from about 9pm, but doesn't really get over the natural atmosphere of the place. I have used the private back-room for parties and that is good too, the main area is still great for dates/friends. Last meal for 2 was £68 after desserts, wine and tip! On a price/quality consideration, this is one of the best places around.
