This restaurant was recommended to us by St Pancras Hotel manager. It was our first time experiencing Indian food so we were little confused. As we sat down lovely young man came to help us, soon as he started to describe the food to us we felt comfertable. He ordered our food himself when they bought the food to the table it looked delicious, one was King prawn dish and one Chicken tika mosala and some rice and bread. FANTASTIC that's all I could say, we got addicted to the flavour we went there three nights out of seven nights we stayed in London. I wish them all the best for the future and special thanks to Alam who gave us such a wonderful experience. We will go back next time we are in London may be we will try something hot.

I've eaten at the Humaira a number of times and always received good food and average service. I decided to grab an early supper before getting my train home and as I was passing noticed the restaurant wasn't too busy so decided to call in.

Despite being very dark, the service was OK and as I knew exactly what I wanted I ordered immediately.

The food came quite quickly: poppadums followed by a lamb biriyani. The biriyani was a large portion with a small dish of vegetable sauce which was equally good. As there was insufficient sauce I asked for a refill.

When I got my bill they'd charged ne for a side order of vegetable curry.

In summary, very gloomy (dark) restaurant, fairly miserable unaccomodating staff, nice tasting food with a hint of being ripped off as the final taste in my mouth.

If you do risk it - I will never return again - then check your bill as this was a clear display of customer disregard, blantant overcharging and lack of customer focus. I did challenge the bill but obviously my value to them was £3.50 - the amount they unfairly charged for what they should have provided in the first place.

I have visited Humeira many times before on a Saturday evening for their famous buffet. It seems now (as of 31-Jul-2010) that they are under new management, as all the staff were different and the buffet was no longer available! So I ordered from the menu and the food was still pleasant and tasty.
This was the best place to go for an all-you-can-eat buffet but now it is just another Indian restaurant. Hopefully they will bring back the buffet, otherwise I am looking for a new regular restaurant for Saturday evenings.

Returned from visit to Paris and staying in Kings cross Travelodge, before heading on back up north to Preston Lancs and in need of a good curry.Read reviews on All in London.co.uk and we decided to give the Humaira a try, glad we did. Excellent service and great food and on a nice quiet side street close to Kings cross, perfect. We will return the next time we visit London.

I have visited this restaurant about 3 times in 2009. I tried to visit again on 2 Saturday nights in Jan 2010, but they were closed.
When I did go there, the food was nice, good service, and the £5.95 Saturday night buffet was definitely worth it, they had a choice of chicken, vegetarian and a meat curry, along with other stuff in the buffet too. As it's a buffet, go up as many times as you like!
They do cram a lot of seats/tables in, so I imagine it would be very difficult to move around if all the seats were taken. Best to go when not so busy.
If you do not like the buffet, or it is not a Saturday night, they have a large choice on the menu.
I recommend it for a cheap Indian meal in reasonable surroundings. And Judd Street outside seems rather quiet as well, despite being near to they busy station of King's Cross.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants. I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed so far. Quality and quantity of the dishes are good and prices still quite cheap.

I went this Saturday evening to try their give away Saturday buffet for £5.95 ! I was a little later than planned at 9.45 pm and the place was empty and there was no sign of any buffet. I was told that I was too late!

So we decided to stay for their al la carte anyway. The menu was pretty typical of many Indian restaurants.

The place is quite smart and seats about 44 which is larger than you would imagine from the outside. Only paper napkins though.

The food we ordered came quite quickly, rather too quickly to have been cooked fresh from the constituents. It tasted quite good so I suppose one cannot complain apart from the very soggy cauliflour.

The bill came to about £30 for two including 1/2 litre of house wine at £4.25. I quite like the idea of house wine in 1/2 and 1 litre quantities as it seems more appropriate for those who like to drink a little more than 1/2 a bottle.
