| About Romford Market: | Romford’s street Market has been around for over 750 years, although the goods sold centuries ago included sheep rather than clothing and groceries. There are over 250 stalls selling mostly food, making this one of the largest markets in the south east of England. The market is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays till around 4.30 pm, and a farmer’s market takes place on the site on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. There are numerous cafes, bakeries and other eateries dotted around the market as well public toilets. Its claim to fame is having been the location for the filming of The Prodigy’s music video for ‘Voodoo People’. |
