Discover a royal palace

Here's one you probably haven't tried before
This must try is connected to: Eltham Palace

You may think you know most of London’s royal residence, but head down south to the suburb of Eltham en route to Kent, and you’ll find one of the capital’s best-kept royal secrets – the grand South Eastern palace of Henry VIII. The Tudor King took up residence here for a while before deciding he preferred the Eastern location of Greenwich – but his remarkable property still stands gracefully and is open to visitors to show off its futuristic elements like underfloor heading and ensuite bathrooms.

Now a stunning English Heritage site, Eltham Palace is made up of the prestigious Great Hall and picturesque bridge, moat and garden. An adjoining wing is filled with beautiful 1930s art deco interiors and often hosts art fairs to reflect that period.
