Visit the Museum of Immigration and Diversity

If it's diverse, it's celebrated here

Where: Museum of Immigration and Diversity 19 Princelet Street E1 6QH

It’s fitting that London’s only museum devoted to diversity is in Spitalfields, an area that’s seen communities of Jewish, French Huguenots and Bengalis flee their home countries to settle here over the years. In fact the building that houses the museum was previously owned by a Huguenot silk merchant. Inside, there’s a real Victorian-era synagogue and exhibitions are themed around multiculturalism and the history of London.

The Grade II listed building has been deemed to be too delicate to handle a large footfall of visitors, which is why it’s only open for a few weekends a year.
