One of London’s most prestigious universities, the London School of Economics has a very diverse schedule of free talks and lectures that anyone can attend. Politics, economics, philosophy and religion are a few of the subjects covered, but occasionally there are other events like workshops on self-confidence. For more high profile guests it’s sometimes necessary to register for a space in advance, but if you don’t get in the talks are usually recorded and uploaded on to their website. Past speakers have included Slavoj Zizek, Tessa Jowell and the Lord Chief Justice.
