Where: Parliament Hill Cafe, Parliament Hill, NW5 1QR
The Italian, family-run Parliament Hill Cafe has been a stalwart of Parliament Hill's bandstand for over 30 years, however the City of London have decided to give the lease to Benugo. The chain are becoming ubiquitous in parks and museums - they currently have branches in Regent's Park and Hyde Park, as well as the Barbican, the V&A and the Natural History Museum among many others. Unsurprisingly there's been an outcry from locals, not to mention from the D’Auria family themselves, and there's a petition underway to stop the takeover.
