Where: The Feminist Library, 5 Westminster Bridge Rd SE1 7XW
The Feminist Library is the only place in the UK where you'll find all the literature relating to the Women's Liberation Movement. Founded in 1975, it boasts thousands of non-fiction and non-fiction books, journals and magazines. The subjects covered are not just about feminist politics - there's women's health, poetry, and art, with publications dating from 1900 to today. Sadly it's under threat. Southwark council are doubling their rent, so the library - which is staffed entirely by volunteers - is being evicted. There's a campaign ongoing to stop this from happening.
