Where: Black Cultural Archives
Brixton's Black Cultural Archives is the only centre of its kind in the UK, where you'll find a huge archive of over 6,000 publications documenting the history of Britons of African and Caribbean descent. There are rare books, photographs, personal diaries and the private documents of Ansel Wong, who helped found Black History Month, as well as the whole back catalogues of black lifestyle magazines. Visit to browse the library, use the reading room, check out their exhibitions, or come at night to one of their poetry events. They also have a cafe with free wifi.
