Life ain’t always a bowl of cherries, Peaches

Peaches Geldof was recently served a little lesson in life as well as a bowl of humble pie.

The wannabe… actually, I’ve no idea what the girl wants to be… the wannabe-something-or-other apparently put on her best groveling face to the organizers of the V Festival recently to let her DJ in the Virgin Mobile Louder VIP Lounge. However mini-Geldof threw a strop when she found out she’d been given an early slot and apparently there were toys all over the nursery floor. So schedules were re-arranged and the wannbe DJ (ah yes, it’s wannabe DJ today) went on to entertain the crowds… only the crowds weren’t entertained. In the words of Jake Shears: they didn’t feel like dancin’… and swiftly evacuated the dancefloor to leave Nectarines with egg on her face and holding a spoon to devour that extra big bowl of humble-pie…

Friday

20:30 Judge John Deed (BBC1)
I really can’t stand this bloke, he thinks he’s James blinkin’ Bond… only in a big white wig… and a black dress.

22:00 Big Bother: The Live Final (cont)(C4)
Greeeat!!!! More action from the house. I hope it never stops, I really do. Can you buy a best-of Big Bro boxset? That would make my life complete. That, and genital herpes.
Saturday

19:50 The X-Factor (ITV)
“She’s loike a feemhale Shayne Waaard! Oi loiked it… ya braught da fuun factor t’ da Ex-Factor!”

21:50 Golden Eye (C4)
I really can’t stand this bloke, he thinks he’s Judge John blinkin’ Deed… only with a gun... and a bevy of babes.
Sunday

17:10 Don’t Look Under The Bed (C5)
Something that I continually urged my mother whenever she cleaned my room.

17:45 LOTR: The Fellowship Of The Ring (C4)
I could’ve gotten to Mordor, slain the tall bloke in the big mask, copped off with a couple of lady-orks and written a book about it all in the same time as it takes to watch this film. Still darned good though.
