Orpheus: The most haunting love story ever told in a co-production by Little Bulb Theatre and Battersea Arts Centre.

Prepare to be transported to 1930s Paris where legendary musician, Django Reinhardt, has been cast as the lead in a new production of Orpheus.

Your host for the evening is the charismatic songstress Yvette Pépin. With her troupe of operatic players she will perform the thrilling tale of Orpheus’s ill-fated descent into the underworld to reclaim his lost love, Eurydice.

Set to a live score of hot club jazz, opera and French chanson, Orpheus is a musical re-imagining of the epic Greek myth.

Battersea Arts Centre’s opulent Grand Hall complete with its majestic 20th century organ will become a 1930s music hall, providing the setting for a glamorous and unique night out in a bygone era.

A joyful evening which captured the spirit of cabaret, Paris, 20's jazz, silent movies and imaginatively retold the story of Orpheus. A standing ovation was the right response.
