Can’t Stand Up For Falling Down is a powerful and intimate portrayal of lost innocence and female identity. Lynette, Ruby and Jodie are three young women who, unbeknownst to each other, are linked by a past event. Set in a small town, against a post-industrialist backdrop, we learn the consequences of one man’s heartless destructiveness on each of their lives. Through interweaving and overlapping monologues, the play shares the frustrations, humour and desires of these three remarkable women as they fight to overcome their damaged pasts.

The creative team that brought you Ayn Rand’s 'Night of January 16th' at the White Bear last year join forces with Red Cart Theatre to present Richard Cameron’s compelling play.
